Passengers at the New York JFK Airport who are inside Terminal 8 are being asked to leave the place after a first class passenger entered a restricted area reserved only for authorized airport workers. The reported security breach happened 3 p.m.Saturday

The John F, Kennedy International Airport in New York City is being evacuated due to breach of security as passengers are asked to leave the area for re screening, according to New York Port authority Steve Coleman.

The security breach apparently involved someone who left a first class American Airlines lounge, opened a door that was supposed to be used only by airport workers and walked through. Coleman says it's unclear whether the person was a passenger.

He says the breach happened before 3:30 p.m. and was recorded by security cameras. American Airlines spokesman Charlie Wilson said operation will only resume after the Transportation Security Administration and Port Authority officials have re screened all the passengers in the terminal.

"We are going to have delays of a couple hours," before flight operations are allowed to resume, he said.

Earlier this month, similar incident happened in New Jersey when a man was caught on airport CCTV entering the wrong way passing through the sterile section of the airport.

The man was later charged for trespassing.
