Manila, Philippines - American pop star Justin Timberlake is in Manila as guest in a concert featuring singer Jojo and rapper Timbaland at the Mall of Asia Saturday.
Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). the popular American song artist asked to be introduced to the popular Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao who recently returned to Manila from from Los Angeles, California.
Pacquiao fought Joshua Clottey of Ghana last March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas where he retained his WBO welterweight crown via a unanimous decision. According to an ABS-CBN news report, a starstruck Timberlake has asked to be introduced to the Filipino boxing champion shortly after he arrived in Manila for a concert.
He even sought to have a picture with Pacquiao, the report said. Timberlake is just one of the many Hollywood celebrities that makes up the celebrity fans of the famous Filipino boxing champion.
The Hollywood celebrities include Denzel Washington, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, among others. Timberlake is expected to entertain his Filipino fans and supporters with his hits "Cry Me a River," "Rock Your Body," "SexyBack," "My Love," and "What Goes Around...Comes Around.", according to the ABS-CBN News report.
Justin Timberlake is an American pop singer and actor who won six Grammy Awards as well as two Emmy Awards He got his big break when he appeared as a contestant on Star Search, and went on to star in the Disney Channel television series The New Mickey Mouse Club, where he met future bandmate JC Chasez.
Timberlake became famous in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the boy band 'N Sync, whose launch was financed by Lou Pearlman.
